For BWS we designed the set up of the Fincantieri convention in Trieste.

The two big ledwall screens at the sides were tasked with showcasing the istitutional content while the central part of the stage, thanks to the use of a ‘see-through’ screen, opened up to unprecedented moments of performance and poetry.

The different planes of projection gave depth to the scene, where the physical presence of speakers and performers could interact with the video content and the more ‘standard’ moments of the convention could coexist with the musical interludes.

Like this, we were able to adopt some techniques and methods typical of the entertainment and concert industry rather than employing those usually used in the convention industry.

With regards to this event, we were responsible for the set design – while always in close dialogue with the creative director, director, light designer, and production – as well as producing specifications, cad dimensional drawings and 3d visualizations suitable for communicating the design to the final client for approval, and on-site supervision during the set-up to verify its proper execution.
