For Fondazione Brescia Musei we worked on the set-up and graphic design of the exhibition “Il senso del nuovo – Lattanzio Gambara pittore manierista”. Through some important loans the exhibition introduces the painter’s works in a new “sacred” context, compared to his better known “profane” image.
The set-up design focuses on these two themes of Gambara’s art, assigning to each of them a different color which becomes the protagonist of its section of the exhibition. The newest acquisition is placed in a room of its own, highlighting its importance. A carpeted gradient on the ground leads visitors along the path, signaling the passage from the first area to the second one.
The graphic design of billboards and leaflets is developed around a detail of the newest acquisition, teasing the artwork without revealing it in its entirety.
