EMILIO CAVALLINI TRASFIGURAZIONE
Triennale di Milano
For this exhibition project we worked with designer and entrepreneur Cavallini, famous for the manufacturing of colorful and extravagant pantyhose and tights.
This is an exhibition of art pieces created by Cavallini using the very same techniques and materials he uses for tights manufacturing. It came naturally to design the set up using a similar concept: for example we customised the entrance of the ‘impluvium’ of the Triennale using elements that apparently are just decorations but instead are made from bases used to support yarn cones during the tights manufacturing process.
Inside the impluvium we built a transparent structure made of plexi that the artist used to stage an art perfomance based on the action of stretching nylon threads between plexi pillars.
